Hop & Follow Friday! (25)

Happy Friday, lovelies!

I hope you had a wonderful week and are looking forward to an awesome, book-filled weekend!

Book Blogger Hop
The Book Blogger Hop is a fun (generally) bookish Friday meme hosted by Jennifer over at Crazy for Books! Be sure to jump over to her post, read the rules, and link up your post!

This week's question:
“Many of us primarily read one genre of books, with others sprinkled in. If authors stopped writing that genre, what genre would you start reading? Or would you give up reading completely if you couldn’t read that genre anymore?”
Well, right now, I mostly read YA paranormal stuff.  I think my first option if they stopped writing that (heaven forbid!) would be to head for contemporary fiction. I definitely wouldn't give up reading! Heavens NO!

"Follow My Book Blog Friday" is a weekly meme hosted by Rachel at Parajunkee's View and Allison at Allison Can Read where bloggers make new friends, including this week's featured bloggers--Pedantic Phooka & Drying Ink!  Pop on over to Parajunkee's blog and join in the follow fun!!

This week's question:
Q: Have you ever wanted a villain to win at the end of the story? If so, which one?
I'm not sure if he's really a "villian" but I would say that there were definitely moments (many, actually) when I totally wanted Linden to win over Rhine in Lauren DeStefano's Wither. It's not necessarily a villain winning, but it's the "bad guy" (although the "not as bad as his dad" bad guy) getting the girl. I think that's about as close as I have come to sincerely wanting the villain to win. I think that makes sense as most authors would want you to fall in love with and cheer for their hero.

TGIF is a weekly meme hosted by Ginger at GReadswhere she poses a thought-provoking question to prompt some blogger discussion!

Making a Difference:
Books to Television: Which books would you love to see made in to a tv series? or movie?
The IRON FEY series! TV, movies, I don't even care. :-) I think that the books have really fabulous world-building and dynamic characters as well as a solid mixture of action and romance that would appeal to a wide audience.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today! I love your comments and try my best to return follows!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

(PS ~ See that link at the top of the page? The one for my potential 2012 challenge? Would you be so kind as to take a look and leave some feedback? I'd love to get an idea of if this is something that people would be interested in.  Or just answer the poll in the sidebar. Thanks!!)

  1. I felt the same way about Linden for a few reasons: Gabriel didn't do a lot for me as a character, and Linden - although troubled - has so much potential for growth that I'm hoping we get to see some of it.

  5. I considered picking the Iron Fey series for movies/tv, but I don't think they could cast someone as hot as Ash is in my head.  :P

  7. I think it'd definitely be interesting to see the Iron Fey series on the big screen (or the small screen). Hmm....maybe with all the interest Hollywood has in the paranormal lately, we'll eventually see it!

    Have a great weekend!

I agree about Wither. I really wanted Linden to get Rhine--mostly because I felt they had more of a relationship than she did with Gabriel (?). I'm still hoping they end up together, actually.

Thanks for stopping by my FF earlier! I can totally agree with Kristen being monotonous and horrible... I keep watching though & I have to say I'm kind of excited to see how they're going to bring BD to life lol.

  19. Arhg! I still haven't got myself a copy of Wither! I'm trying really hard to wait until Fever is out so I don't have wait so long between books (I'm terrible at waiting for sequels) but I keep reading awesome things about it everywhere. May just have to give in!
