Waiting on Wednesday (67)

"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine where book bloggers discuss the books that they are most anxiously waiting for! (And this fabulous button was designed by my dear blogger friend Lindsay at The Violet Hour)

This week I'm waiting on...

Rebel Heart by Moira Young

Nothing is certain and no one is safe in the second book in the highly praised Dust Lands trilogy, which MTV's Hollywood Crush blog called "better than "The Hunger Games.""It seemed so simple: Defeat the Tonton, rescue her kidnapped brother, Lugh, and then order would be restored to Saba's world. Simplicity, however, has proved to be elusive. Now, Saba and her family travel west, headed for a better life and a longed-for reunion with Jack. But the fight for Lugh's freedom has unleashed a new power in the dust lands, and a formidable new enemy is on the rise.

What is the truth about Jack? And how far will Saba go to get what she wants? In this much-anticipated follow-up to the riveting Blood Red Road," a fierce heroine finds herself at the crossroads of"danger and destiny, betrayal and passion.
The first time I tried to read Blood Red Road, I gave up and put it back down. Thankfully I gave it a second try and I really enjoyed it! The world is really phenomenal and once you get into the dialect, it is actually hard to remove yourself from the world. The book left me wanting more--that's for sure! I can't wait to read the follow-up and see what Ms. Young has in store!

Add it to your Goodreads shelf!

What are YOU waiting on this week?

I just finished reading Blood Red Road... it was definitely interesting. Similar enough to The Hunger Games and a lot of other dystopians out here, but really unique, too.

Dude, I hadn't even HEARD of the event! Since it's on a Saturday--POSSIBLY. (It's a weekend that I work and 2 days after the start of school, so it will take some convincing on the hubby's part...)
