Waiting on Wednesday (54)

"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly bookish meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine where book bloggers discuss the books that they are most anxiously waiting for! (And this fabulous button was designed by my dear blogger friend Lindsay at The Violet Hour)

This week I'm waiting on...

Between You & Me by Marisa Calin© 7 August 2012 by Bloomsbury USA
Phyre knows there is something life-changing about her new drama teacher, Mia, from the moment they meet. As Phyre rehearses for the school play, she comes to realize that the unrequited feelings she has for Mia go deeper than she’s ever experienced. Especially with a teacher. Or a woman. All the while, Phyre’s best friend—addressed throughout the story in the second person, as "you"—stands by, ready to help Phyre make sense of her feelings. But just as Mia doesn’t understand what Phyre feels, Phyre can’t fathom the depth of her best friend’s feelings . . . until it’s almost too late for a happy ending. Characters come to life through the innovative screenplay format of this dazzling debut, and unanswered questions—is "you" male or female?—will have readers talking.
I've been really delving into contemporary stuff lately and this seems right up my alley.  PLUS I think that it has the potential to fit really well into my YALSA presentation in November so it will definitely go on my reading list for that!

Add it to your Goodreads shelf!

Also, I figured I would combine this post with W.W.W. Wednesdays...so here is some more info about my reading for this week! To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…Grab the logo...and post your link at Should Be Reading!

School has REALLY slowed down my reading! Between a FT job, a PT job, a middle school library practicum, and a reader's advisory class, I feel like I only get about 1/4 of the time I used to for my own reading.  It's really sad!

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

What are YOU waiting on this week?

Thanks for stopping by My Bookshelf.  Cinder is available in US and Canada.  Though the cover is different from that designed for Italy, it is still rather nice but the book itself is thoroughly absorbing. You simply must give it a try.  Marissa Meyer is the author.

Oh, indeed--I ADORED Cinder and it sits very proudly on my bookshelf. I just happen to think the Italian cover is mesmerizing. :)

I've just barely started but I'm like the world so far. Hopefully it continues to pull me in. :)
